Honda gives an interesting follow-up to its TV spot

After the famous example for Wario on Wii on Youtube (Fluid’post here), Honda does the same but on Vimeo. Believe me the result is really nice and perfectly designed. I think that choosing Vimeo was relevant, especially for this campaign, indeed, it’s a bit more classy and quality oriented than any other video platform. I must confess that I did not really like so much the TV spot even if it was impressive. Of course, you can have a quick look on this video here but you would miss a really nice digital stuff, so go here.

As the TV spot comes from W + K Amsterdam, I guess that’s the same for this special video.

Why Skittles is doing well but not enough

For the last 7 days (since this article for me), all the TwitterSphere has been talking about the Skittle website? widget? webget. Indeed, for those who do not know what I am talking about, have a look here.

Most of you must remember this very strange website one year ago created by Modernista, where you have just a small menu in the right top corner with links to their Netvibes universe, their Wikipedia page, their Facebook page, their YouTube account… « You are viewing Modernista! through the eyes of the Web.« , it was particulary relevant in this case, I mean for a digital agency, indeed, many things depends on their reputation (like most of the communication agencies) and X or Y thinks about. Here, everything is here, the visitor has every tool to get his opinion about it. That perfectly fits what people need.

Youtube tries the interactive videos

After a great experience last week for the new Wii game, Wario Land : Shake it, Youtube tries a new experience : the interactive video. It starts with a very simple game, each video corresponds to a level of this. I think this idea is really interesting even if the game is not really good (probably too simple and not clear enough).

This was created by an Indian company, Hexolabs, if you want to know more about this project, go on this page. This corresponds totaly to the trends presented by Helge Tennø and seen last week here.

Finally, I am a bit surprised that this kind of video appears only now because Youtube’s video are composed in Flash and everybody knows all what we can do with this fantstic software. I guess that technicaly, things are not as simple…

Experience Wii ! Comment tourner la démo produit en bonne surprise…

Je viens de tomber sur cette vidéo en me disant, sans grande conviction, « allons-y, voyons ce qu’il se passe sur la Wii… ».


Excellente surprise donc alors que l’on s’attend à voir simplement une vidéo Youtube, la surprise est totale (en tous cas, pour moi, je n’avais jamais vu cela avant). L’action et le message pour la version « Shake it » du jeu sont tout à fait cohérents, bref, bravo à l’agence et à Youtube. Techniquement, il me semble que c’est du Flash (pas sur à 100% mais je ne vois pas ce que ça peut être autrement…).


À noter le site sympa pour l’opé, quoique la musique est vite insupportable…
