A new interesting use of Twitter: I Spy Levi’s
Until now, for Twitter, I used this excellent graph to sum up what we can do and what was done with it.
For several weeks in Sydney, Levi’s found a new way of using Twitter, they play with it! The game is really simple. A Levi’s guy walks in the streets of « key cities » in Australia and New Zealand and twitts’ photos of places where he is, then the first to catch him, got a pair of jean’s.
I guess it doesn’t cost so much for Levi’s (when something trendy or some food is free, there is no risk that doesn’t work…). I think it’s really relevant to reach their target probably young (20/35 yo), trendy and and web/social connected. It gives the feeling it’s very close from you… it’s really nice to see that a brand comes in your city and offers you a cool and new product! Many people try to get in touch with the Levi’s guy actually… With the use of Twitter, the word of mouth is easier and the desire of the brand increases.
So, now, we can add a nice new way of promoting on the graph. I think that’s the first example of that kind (I know) but it can give very good ideas to the other brands. If you liked it, you should appreciate this American pizza restaurant, Naked Pizza, with its cool way of Twittering…
